If you have factory navigation with your 2007 and newer GM Truck or SUV and want the ulimate in enhanced functionality and multiple inputs, then this interface module by CoastalETech is just the ticket for you.
Not only do you get a video input for a rear backup camera that you can turn on whenever you want (in additional to when you select reverse), but you can add two additional side-view cameras to the additional inputs and the appropriate inputs with automatically be selected when you turn left or right. Talk about the ulimate driving aid!.
But you don't have to use side cameras. You could connect additional video players such as iPods, external DVD players- anything with a video output. The unit even accepts audio inputs with the additional video inputs to bring the video to life.
But that is not all, you also get premium functionality that you don't get with the standard Gen 5 lockpick such as:
- Manually activate backup camera input at anytime. (Not just when you select reverse.)
- Aftermarket bluetooth handsfree kit support such as Parrot, etc. (including video handsfree devices.)
- Of course, standard Gen 5 functionality is included:
- Unlock DVD/Aux screen while vehicle is in motion
- Enter addresses into the navigation system while vehicle is in motion
- XM Categories are unlocked as well as full text display.
