This harness is ideal when your GM vehicle came with a backup camera connected to the navigation system, but you want to display the backup image to the 3.5" rear view camera display in the rear view mirror. Another reason to order this cable is if you already have the rear view mirror with 3.5" display built in and want to order just the camrea kit.
